Ultimately, choosing between raw hair and virgin hair boils down to personal preference. Do you prefer the natural, slightly coarser feel of raw hair, or are you drawn to the variety of trendy styles and textures offered by virgin hair? Both options have their pros and cons, but either way, you're sure to have great hair with Sleyed.

Raw Hair: Raw hair is the purest and most natural form of hair available. It boasts top quality and can last for years. Unlike processed hair, raw hair tends to be less silky and has a coarser texture compared to virgin hair. One unique aspect of raw hair is that each bundle is different; no two are exactly alike. This is because raw hair is not steamed to form uniform patterns. Each bundle comes from a single donor, meaning each bundle will not be identical. It has literally been cut from the donor and made into bundle without any alteration to the hair. With its cuticles running in the same direction.

Raw hair needs the same care and love as your natural hair would, it is cut from a human scalp and continued maintenance is required. As a result, dyeing, bleaching or styling treatments can achieve great results.

Why is it more expensive? You get a better quality of hair, it’s all natural without being processed and it lasts longer.

Differences Between Raw Hair and Virgin Hair:

1. Processing: Raw hair is completely unaltered, while virgin hair undergoes steaming to create textures like deep wave, loose wave.
2. Textures: Raw hair typically comes in straight hair but you can find natural wave texture bundles, Virgin hair offers a wider range of textures like deep wave, kinky curly, and body wave.
3. Longevity: Raw hair can last up to five years with proper care, making it a worthwhile investment. Virgin hair, while also durable, may not last as long depending on the processing and care.

Bone straight refers to hair that has been processed to achieve a sleek, straight appearance. Through the use of heat and cream/chemical treatment, the natural texture of the hair is altered, resulting in a smooth and straightened look. This process removes the hair's raw state.

Here are some advantages and disadvantages, as opinions vary:

Pros:

• Ideal Texture: Many people appreciate the softness and sleekness of bone straight hair, making it stand out.
• Time-saving: With its flattened and silky strands, bone straight hair requires less time and effort for care and maintenance, making it convenient for those with busy schedules.
• Versatility: Bone straight hair is often considered suitable for any occasion or outfit, making it a versatile choice for daily wear.

Cons:

• Limited Styling Options: Due to its strong retention of straight texture, bone straight hair may not easily hold curls or waves.
• Bleaching: Not advisable

Natural Straight Hair

You have the choice of raw bundles or virgin bundles depending on your preference. Our favourite will always be RAW.

We use 3 bundles with a closure or frontal depending on your wig choice. Each product description will specify the number of bundles used in your choice of wigs. If more or less bundles are required please refer to My Personal Sley page to customise your wig or email info@sleyed.co.uk

The perfect wig begins with accurate measurements ! Please ensure that your hair is as flat as possible when taking your measurements (ideally in cornrows).

• Double check your measurements to ensure that they are correct

All items in stock are available for 1-2 days delivery if based in the UK (This will be specified on the product)

Please note all UK standard delivery is free with all orders. 

Yes, we ship worldwide. Deliveries outside of United Kingdom can take longer. All our deliveries are tracked and must be signed for.

Processing of bundles, frontals & closures will take 5-7 working days + standard delivery 

Processing for our collection wigs will take 10 - 15 working days + standard delivery 

Delivery for jet black bundles, coloured wigs and plucked\bleached knots will take 5 extra working days for preparation + standard delivery 

We at SLEYED understand that you may have changed your mind after placing an order. If not cancelled within 24 hours we will not be able to cancel any orders.

SLEYED takes pride in ensuring that we maintain a high level of quality control by making sure your hair is top tier, new and only for you. To ensure that we continue to maintain this high level of service and due to hygiene, we are unable to accept wigs for return.

This is subject to your colour choice. We recommend using the My Personal Sley page to submit an example picture of your colour choice. We currently sell coloured wigs on our wigs page.

Yes, our virgin and raw hair bundles are SDD.

SDD means the majority of the strands within the bundles consist of long lengths with 90% of the bundle being longer lengths and 10% shorter lengths, making the bundle fuller from end to end.
